Today during "Wake Up and Sing" our Family Counselor Memri Lerch asked our parents two very thought provoking questions, the first, "What is the best thing that has happenend to you this week that has nothing to do with your child?
Answering this question allows the parents to reflect on themselves as individuals. It is important because oftentimes, parents of children with special needs and parents in general find themselves lost as individuals.
If you are a parent or caregiver to anyone please take the time to answer this question and reflect on your answer.
The second question, "What do you wish 'the grandparents' knew or would do concerning your child?"
Answering this question allows the parents to voice their personal needs for help or assistance that they would probably otherwise keep to themselves.
Again, if you are a parent or caregiver to anyone please take the time to answer this question and reflect on your answer and if you like, tell someone of your need for help as a parent or caregiver. You may be surprised, you may get the help you deserve and desire.
Family Counselor, Memri Lerch is seated next to the right of Ms. Jacque.

We had such an awesome time today at "Wake Up and Sing"! We celebrated our first Valentine's Day at Ms. Gussie's Place filled with lots of love, chocolate, Red Velvet Donuts, Red Velvet Cake and of course music!
Many thanks to our parents for providing such delicious treats!
